The Eyes Have It........
Two years ago we were in Yunnan province in China travelling overland to Tibet when the uprising in Tibet led the Chinese authorities to close the border. This enabled them to crush the opposition in the Tibetan capital Lhasa - at the same time ensuring that western photographers were not there to record the events. We were in the city of Dali at the time, kicking our heels and forced to make alternative arrangements to move south into Vietnam. Whilst in the area the local Bai women proved to be a great photographic distraction, the following are some shots taken of two of these girls proving that, as ever, if you find a good subject concentrate on the eyes ..
