The Drought.
We recently returned from a trip to The Horn of Africa - in this case we were travelling throughout Ethiopia and witnessed the effects of the drought - bad in Ethiopia but far worst in neighbouring Somalia. We cannot add anything to everything that has been written or that you have seen and heard on your TV and radio ..... the situation is desperate. We were welcomed warmly throughout our trip by people who have so much less than us. Here are a few of the people we met and photographed during that time. If you are in a position to help by making a donation please do. We are left wondering how the people in these images, living in isolated villages are fairing as the conditions deteriorate. Are they still there? - are they surviving? - is there aid? - have they moved south into the Northern Frontier District of Kenya? - so many questions but alas no answers .....
