Weather Forecasts.
The delightful Four Pillars Hotel, Oxford was the setting for the wedding of Rebecca Clarke and Glen Walcuch on the 5th October 2012.
Wedding photographers and brides do not always share the same aspirations regarding weather. Brides tend to pre visualise a wedding day of sunshine whilst photographers prefer cloud cover with even light providing low contrast. Where brides and photographers agree is on the subject of rain, we both prefer it to be absent. As photographers we always work around the weather but dry days do make life easier for all concerned. On the 5th of October the weather forecasters were both right and wrong, yes there was torrential rain, as they said there would be, but thankfully they were a bit out in their timings. We had just finished photographing the formal images and those of the bride and groom when the heavens opened and it rained solidly for 7 hours. Result, one happy bride and one equally happy photographer.
